Cook youngest to reach 10,000 - breaks Sachin's record



England skipper Alaister Cook achieved two milestones during the second test match played against Sri Lanka in Durham.

He became the youngest batsman to reach 10,000 test runs in tests. He also became the first England batsman to reach 10,000 test runs. He became 12th in the overall 10,000 run makers.

Cook achieved this milestone at 31 years and 158 days. Earliear this record was on the name of Sachin Tendular as Sachin achieved this landmark at 31 years and 326 days against Pakistan in 2004 at Eden Gardens in 2005.

After achieving this milestone, he was praised by many of cricket legends. Former indian test player Sunil Gavaskar said apraising Cook that he can also break the Sachin's most runs record in test matches.
