India beat England by 246 runs



India won the second test against England by 246 runs. In reply to India's 405 target, English team could only manage 158 runs in the second innings on the last day. India now leading the series by 1-0. Playing ahead from 87 runs on fifth day, England managed 158 runs only. 

India made 455 runs in the first inning with the help of hundreds of Virat Kohli and Cheteshvar Pujara. England made 255 runs in the first inning. Ashvin took 5 wickets in the first inning and played a major role to get 200 runs lead.

In the second inning, Indian batsmen also struggled to run. But with the help of Virat Kohli's 81 runs, India put 204 runs on board and gave 405 runs target for England.

In reply to India's 405 target, England made only 158 runs in the second inning and India won the match by 246 runs. Ashvin and Jayant Yadav took 3-3 wickets while Shami and Jadeja managed 2-2 English batsmen.  



Virat Kohli was chosen Man of The Match for the brilliant performance with the bat.
