Sri Lanka 236 runs in Second One Day International - Bumrah's 4 wickets

India vs Sri Lanka 2nd One Day International - 2017


Sri Lanka put 236 runs on the board in the second one day international being played at Pallekele. India won the toss and put Sri Lanka to bat first like first one day international. Sri Lanka again got thrashed by indian bowling attack and could only manage to make 236 runs on the score board. Bumrah took 4 wickets for india. Siriwardana was the only batsman who scored a fifty in the entire Srilankan inning.

Sri Lanka again unlucky for toss

India won the toss again in the second one day international and the captain decided to field again. Sri Lanka started well but not up to the mark. Niroshan Dickwella was in good touch with safe Gunathilaka on the other end. Dickwella made quick 31 runs in just 24 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Bumrah took the precious wicket of Dickwella for India and gave India a break through.

After dickwella, Chahal out Gunathilaka. After this quick dismissals, Sri Lankan inning started slipping as they lost wickets of Kusal Mendis (19 runs), Angelo Mathews (20 runs), Upul Tharanga (9 runs) in the quick time.

Siriwardana - Kapugedara at rescue 


Sri Lankan batting line up was thrashing like house of cards again but Siriwardana and Kapugedara came to rescue the Sri Lankan team. Siriwardana and Kapugedara put 91 runs partnership for the sixth wicket. Siriwardana completed his fifty and made 58 runs in 58 balls. 

Chamara Kapugedara also contributed 40 important runs for the team. Sri Lanka put 236 runs on the score board with the lose of 8 wickets in the decided 50 overs and give India 237 runs target to win.

Indian bowlers bowled well to restrict Sri Lanka to 236. Jaspreet Bumrah took 4 wickets and was the successful indian bowler. In the other hand, Chahal took 2 wickets. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel managed to pick 1-1 Sri Lankan batsman.
